Position Summary - As Food Truck and Store Supervisor, you will report to the Preston store managers. This position requires a working manager to collaborate with different stakeholders. This role plans, coordinates, and oversees food truck events and supervises retail store operations on non-event days. Key responsibilities include cooking, selling, merchandising, setting up displays, cleaning and cashiering while building strong relationships with guests, staff, property owners, and vendors. Responsible for overall communication, preparation and final execution of all food truck events. Community connection and passion for hospitality are critical to being successful as the Food Truck and Store Supervisor. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising team members. 
Position Objectives:
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

  •   Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  •   Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. 
  •   Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other                                                  employees and organizations.  
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:
  • Consults with clients/customers and determines catering options based on the clients’ needs. 
  • Prepares required catering forms, completing meticulous tasks and negotiating pricing. 
  • Supervision of team members. 
  • Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third-party vendors. 
  • Keep and maintain organized and accurate records. 
  • Adhere and facilitate the needs of the food and health industry safety regulation and standards. 
  • Research catering trends and make recommendations to culinary/commissary/COO.
  • Perform cashiering and customer service duties
  • Scheduling weekly staff and managerial outreach for special events
  • Provide bookkeeping support – sales recording, inventory tracking and invoice entry
  • Maintain systems to control inventory, cost of goods and labor
  • Job booking support, calendar maintenance, client communication
  • Work with retail, distribution and commissary teams to coordinate needs
  • Support with governmental licensing and special events applications and permitting
Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of managerial experience. 
  • Provide great team leadership. Problem solver.
  • Must be willing to work in a challenging environment with conflicting priorities. 
  • Uphold company standards and policies for opening/closing.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and comply with all laws.
  • Ability to bring in new clients and accounts with interpersonal skills.
  • 1 year of experience as an event Manager or work experience. 
  • Substantial or expert knowledge of electronic catering management systems such as R365 and Toast. 
  • Proficiency, ability to meet deadlines, and complete the job within budget is required. 
  • The ideal candidate needs to have excellent communication, and a personable demeanor.
  • Reports to the Store Manager/Operations manager.
  • Flexible schedule including weekend and holidays.
  • Be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have valid drivers’ license/clean driving record
  • Can drive a trailer.
Certifications/Licenses/Registration:
  • Must possess valid State driver’s license
  • Certified in Food Handler
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: 
  • Stand, talk or hear, and taste or smell.  
  • Walk; use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms.  
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.  
  •  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Long-Term and Short-term disability plans are an optional benefit and paid by employees through payroll deduction. This benefit applies to non-work-related injuries and illnesses. Short-Term disability covers 60% of your base salary to a maximum of $1,000 per week, for up to 26 weeks. There is a 14-day waiting period. Long-Term disability covers the portion of your base salary you select starting at 27 weeks up to federal retirement age.
